Safety Third is a 100-page hardcover book about Michael Rubel, a man who built a real castle, complete with towers and drawbridges, entirely out of recycled and donated materials, right in the middle of a Southern California suburban neighborhood. Found imagery was mediated through acrylic transfer and collage. Printed on recycled papers not originally intended for printing.
